Colleen & Chris – Aug 3, 2013

On this sunny Saturday, we ventured to the idyllic little town of Sussex. As we were driving we passed by a green field with a two-wheel path winding its way up a hill. Sarah and I instantly saw the opportunity to capture this special photo – a metaphor for a young couple starting along the path of life together. With Chris in his distinctive scarlet-dress RCMP uniform on the path, and then against the backdrop of one of the many beautiful covered bridges that New Brunswick has to offer, it was the making of photos steeped with history and full of romance. Equally beautiful was the reception room which was magazine worthy in every way. What was remarkable was that it was the product of multiple family talents. The bride’s aunt had transformed the reception room, the flowers for the bouquets were hand grown and arranged, and the family owned Timberland Motel kitchen staff catered the food which was phenomenal, due in part to the fresh veggies grown by the bride’s father. A treat at the end of the day was to take home a little box from the sweets table. Another was to see the expressions on the faces of the bride’s sisters as they gave their speech honoring their beautiful sister. The love they showed for this special couple will remain etched in our hearts forever.
